Competitors see who can eat a pie the fastest, above; sheep shearing at the New Commercial Hotel, right.

Twenty-five teams entered this year's New Commercial Hotel annual Shear a Sheep, Eat a Pie and Drink a Drink competition.

Teams of three competitors entered the competition with the fastest team — made up of Tony Old, Trevor Hepburn and Terry Buchanan — getting through the challenge in 55 seconds.

The team that came second completed the task in 1.04 minutes and the third team, 1.10 minutes.

It was a great day and a lot of spectators watched. People got to have a good laugh.

New Commercial Hotel owner Jude Dix says this year's fastest time was a lot quicker than last year's winning time which was recorded at 1.09 minutes.
