Aaron Bowles Manager of Scanpower's Plumbing and Electrical Division points to key services.

Aaron Bowles Manager of Scanpower's Plumbing and Electrical Division points to key services.

You cannot beat experience and in the last year Scanpower's Plumbing and Electrical Division has gained plenty of it.

In the middle of 2015 Garry Watts joined the team after running his own business.

This was followed in August with Paul Watson who returned to Dannevirke after gaining wide experience in general wiring and heat pumps including running his own business.

In March Craig Herbert also returned to town and signed on after a long history in plumbing which started with McBeth Plumbing in the 1970s.

Most recently Sandy Sloane, with good knowledge of many Scanpower clients, has joined the team as receptionist.

All this infusion of new blood has increased the versatility and capability of the Scanpower team, led by Aaron Bowles who with Paul is also training apprentice Ryan Kells.

Scanpower offers a big range of services starting with electrical and plumbing repairs and installation. Not surprisingly for winter there is a steady demand for fires and heat pumps.

While clients usually supply their own fires, Scanpower is happy to install them. Scanpower is an accredited Fujitsu Heat Pump installer which carries a 6-year warranty.

There is also interest in solar power for water heating - both domestic and for cowsheds.

With water heating costs averaging 30 per cent of power bills this investment in solar panels is attractive.

Gas fitting is also an option, and Scanpower contracts with Isaac Peach of Woodville to do the work. Scanpower does air-conditioning top-ups for cars.

Scanpower offers a vital 24/7 service which helps businesses and homes in emergencies. Contact for this is 0800 80 80 39.

Normal contact for Scanpower services and inquiries is with Sandy or Aaron on 06 374 6147.
