More than 140 anglers made a stab at the Glenorchy fishing competition on Saturday.
The fish were biting for the more than 140 competitors in the Glenorchy fishing competition on Saturday.
Co-organiser Hayley Jones said 89 fish - a mixture of salmon and brown and rainbow trout - were caught.
The number was up on previous years, despite the varied conditions.

Former Glenorchy residentSeamus Hickey, now of Christchurch, won the overall junior-child trophy after reeling in a 1.59kg brown trout from a boat just off Kinloch.
The Breitenberger Trophy for the most successful family went to the Poplawski-Douglas family. The 36th annual competition was this time organised by the township's playgroup, and raised more than $2000 for the organisation.
