It's the best of the week that was with Rabobank and The Country.

The week's top interviews were:

Sir John Key:

As we await the announcement of the new National leader, we ask the man who lead the party from 2006-16 for his comments on the candidates, the legacy of his successor Bill English and his thoughts on the state of the economy.

Amanda Henderson:

Is a Takaka Hill sheep and beef farmer who we interviewed six days ago on The Country after Cyclone Gita struck. One week on we go back there for an update.

Dion Bishell:

Is a Taranaki dairy farmer (and current Taranaki Sharemilker of the Year) running two farms just outside Hawera. He had to dump milk on one farm, (but got a generator to the other) and also lost a cowshed roof due to Cyclone Gita.

Jacinda Ardern:

We ask the Prime Minister for her response to criticism from new National leader Simon Bridges who says that her government is weak and muddling.

Todd Charteris:

We catch up with Rabobank's new chief executive at day one of the Northland Fieldays at Dargaville.

Michael Laws:

The controversial national spokesperson for the NZ Rodeo and Cowboys Association defends the sport against animal rights activists. We ask him if it's animal cruelty or just good old fashioned rural fun?
