The quality store cattle in a small offering of about 240 head sold well at Stortford Lodge yesterday.

Store lambs continued to sell strongly, with ewe lambs selling particularly well.

Chatham Island lambs comprised a good part of the offering of about 6000 head.

Buyers were from around Hawke's Bay, and Feilding.

Prime sale

A small yarding of ewes sold on a par or slightly below the last few weeks at Monday's prime sale.There was good demand for a big yarding of 980 lambs which was reflected in the prices.

For the second time in three weeks there is no cattle sale report because none was offered.
