Hundreds of Northlanders added their voices to the nationwide protest against 1080 on Saturday.

Events were held in Whangārei, Kerikeri, Dargaville, Kawakawa and Kaitaia to coincide with events across the country.

The Northern Advocate's Peter de Graaf caught up with protesters who marched through the centre of Kerikeri, while photographer Tania Whyte went along to Whangārei's Mander Park where protesters were picketing along the side of the road.
