The push by AgResearch chief executive Andy West to make the organisation more accessible to farmers is continuing, with the resurrection of an open day at its Invermay facility in Otago this Friday after more than a decade.

The move follows the announcement that Hamilton is reinstating its Ruakura Fieldays
on June 13 after a gap of more than 10 years.

The Invermay event's organising scientist, Grant Shackell, said the theme of this year's open day would be sheep, deer and environment.
