A person has died following a crash in Timaru last night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Prattley Rd and Macaulay Rd in Milford around 11:40pm.

A quad bike had left the road and sadly the male rider died at the scene.

A scene examination was completed by the Serious Crash Unit, and the circumstances remain under investigation.
