The Tararua District Council is seeking advice after tests returned another positive reading for E.coli in Pahiatua's water supply, and Northlanders could be paying an extra $15 million annually for power. These are just two of the stories making headlines around the regions today.

Northlanders and their employers will pay more than $15 million extra annually for power if a proposal by the Electricity Authority to change the way transmission charges passes.

A Tauranga man is to hold a community clean-up after finding a shocking amount of rubbish dumped at one of the Bay's tourist hotspots.

Rotorua Hospital is being urged to reduce doctors' working hours as they are working 12 day shifts in a row without a break, according to the New Zealand Resident Doctors' Association.

Police are seeking 70-year-old William Edward Harding who is wanted to arrest for failing to appear in Wanganui District Court. Harding is on active charges for obtaining by deception and causing loss by deception, from elderly female victims.
