Today on The Country radio show, host Jamie Mackay catches up with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, who addressed the Primary Industries New Zealand Summit this morning.

The Prime Minister’s address at this morning’s Primary Industries New Zealand Summit was “how the Government will turn the dial to support the growth and prosperity of the primary sector”.

Mike Cronin:

Fonterra’s head of cooperative affairs reviews last night’s plummeting Global Dairy Trade Auction which was down 6.9% with whole milk powder dropping 4.3%, skim milk powder decreasing by 6.1%, anhydrous milk fat plunging 10.7%, butter tanking by 10.2%, butter milk powder dropping 5.1% and cheese dipping 6.9%.

Former chairman of Silver Fern Farms and the current chairman of Farmlands. We talk about the state of New Zealand agriculture and pay tribute to the late Dr Warren Parker who was recognised with the 2024 Champion Award at the Primary Industries New Zealand Awards last night in Wellington.

New Zealand’s special agricultural trade envoy was a keynote speaker at this morning’s Primary Industries New Zealand Summit. His topic - “Growing NZ’s presence in India”.
