Today on The Country radio show, host Jamie Mackay catches up with Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, to talk about the Government’s announcement of the 2035 climate target of a 51-55% emissions reduction.

Christopher Luxon:

The Prime Minister says he’s not kneecapping our biggest industry, vociferously defending the Government’s announcement of the 2035 climate target of a 51-55% emissions reduction, saying they had no choice but to marginally increase the 2030 of a 50% reduction.

He also has a crack at David Seymour for floating the idea of pulling New Zealand out of the Paris Climate Agreement but supports Shane Jones’ attack on “woke” banks.

Richard Allen:

Fonterra’s president of global market ingredients reviews another great GDT auction with a 3.7% rise across the board (WMP +4.1%, SMP +4.7%).
