The Country host Jamie Mackay was broadcasting live from Emerson's Tiny Pub at the Canterbury A&P Show today.

Today on The Country radio show, host Jamie Mackay is broadcasting live from the Canterbury A&P Show, at the Emerson’s Tiny Pub, where he is launching this year’s Mackaiser.

He catches up with a cast of thousands while he takes in the sights and sounds of the show.

Sir David Carter:

The chairman of the Canterbury A&P Association says the rain hasn’t dampened the spirits of the event nor of the local farmers, as he takes in a great crowd for day one of the show.

Lawrence Meredith:

The European Union Ambassador to New Zealand pops into the Tiny Pub, which he is keen to use at an EU gathering soon.

He discusses the FTA with Europe and how Trump’s tariffs are affecting the world economy.

We catch up with a local farmer to chat about the famous pig breeders’ social event and what’s happening on-farm, as well as a bit of footy.
