The Country: We review the first regional final (Otago Southland) of the FMG Young Farmer of the Year with the new voice of the competition - Te Radar.

What is a "sigh" of sugar? Nobody knows, least of all Te Radar. He spoke to The Country host Jamie Mackay today and was blindsided by Mackay's assumption that he would be au fait with the host's obscure coffee order.

Down to business. The FMG NZ Young Farmer of the Year regional finals have swung into gear with the Otago/Southland final taking place last weekend. Te Radar is the new voice of the Young Farmer competition and the role has kept him busy, he's off to the Aorangi Regional final in Methven next weekend.

After an update on the competition Te Radar and Jamie mull over topics such as "is the competition too tough for women" "is it a competition or a contest?" and "is shearing a sport"?

PS - There is still no definitive answer on what a "sigh" of sugar is...
