Thursday is footy day on The Country, where Jamie Mackay catches up with Joey Wheeler for a Super Rugby round up ... when Wheeler can be bothered to show.
Last week the former Highlander was missing in action in Brisbane, leaving The Country's social media guru Sam "Lashes" Casey togive his highly-informed opinion on the weekend's big games.
Wheeler was taking no blame for his absence, saying he was sitting patiently by the phone waiting for last week's call which never came.
"In my defence, I'm going to put it down to your [Mackay's] fat fingers, that I know, over the four years that I've been in this office, have misdialed many, many a time."
Mackay deflects this criticism by telling the nation that Lashes moisturises his hands and shaves his legs, to which Wheeler contributes that Lashes has never managed to bring a decent guest to the weekly Farmlands farming and footy discussions.
Finally we get around to a bit of rugby chat with special guest, former Highlander Gareth Evans, (who compares Lashes to Simpson's Montgomery Burns), before discussing the Super Rugby weekend action, starting with the Highlanders/Hurricanes clash tomorrow night.
