Sir Henry van der Heyden says New Zealand agriculture is currently in a very positive space.

The Rabobank chairman caught up with The Country's Jamie Mackay today to give his overview of the primary sector.

Fonterra's latest milk price forecast of $6.75 means dairy is in a good place, and sheep and beef, horticulture and the wine sector are all performing well says Sir Henry.

"It's a good time to be in agriculture".

Jamie asks the Rabobank chairman if he's concerned about animal-free protein and whether it poses a threat to New Zealand agriculture.

"It's something we should keep an eye on, but am I really, really worried about it? No."
