Chairman of Silver Fern Farms Rob Hewett spoke to The Country from Kurow today where he is taking part in the co-operative's national roadshow.
The roadshow is promoting prospects for the coming season and updating shareholders on the Shanghai Maling joint venture.
Hewett gives Jamie Mackay a meat industry overview
and although he is reluctant to "talk numbers" when it comes to lamb, he will say "you'd have to look pretty hard to find a grumpy venison farmer."
Also in today's interview Rob talks to Jamie about the Shanghai Maling joint venture and the recruitment process to replace CEO Dean Hamilton.
