The Country Early Edition: Dom catches up with writer Laura Morris for a chat about rural life and her plans for the Christmas season.

Laura Morris wrote an open letter to Fonterra a while back which brought her to Dom George of The Country Early Edition's attention so he got her on the show for a chat about rural life.

Today Morris discusses Young Rural Ladies launching their online store for all your rural Christmas gift needs.

Laura also urges people to "buy Christmas lamb not ham" to encourage kiwis to celebrate their local produce this festive season.

Dom and Laura also discuss summer activities for kiwi kids, waterways, how Bill English will help the rural sector and how business is going at Morris and Smith Copywriters.

Finally Dom schedules his next interview with Laura after she's been to the Guns 'n' Roses concert in February when she'll be 33 weeks pregnant. Rock on!
