The Country: The President of Horticulture New Zealand talks about good times for the flourishing industry and why he’s been able to sell ‘craft’ milk in glass bottles for premium prices.

Entrepreneurial Julian Raine isn't just the President of Horticulture New Zealand and a diary farmer, he has also started up a "craft milk" business called Aunt Jean's Dairy.

The milk at Aunt Jean's comes in a glass bottle just like the good old days and is for people who "enjoy what milk used to taste like" according to Raine.

Although the milk is not organic, it is sustainable with minimum pesticides as Julian takes a "minimalist" approach to treating the milk. Nothing has been added and nothing has been taken away.

After explaining the ins and outs of his business Raine gives The Country's Jamie Mackay an update on the horticulture industry, including whether there is a drug problem in the workforce.
