The Country - Fonterra’s chairman is pleased about the latest GDT auction result but less pleased with the portrayal of dairy farming on the recent Sunday show.
Fonterra's chairman John Wilson caught up with The Country's Jamie Mackay to review the latest GDT auction result and the global dairy market.
John also updates Jamie on what's happening with Fonterra's farmers in badly flooded regions such as the Bay of Plenty.
Jamie wants to know what John madeof TVNZ's Sunday show The Price of Milk. Wilson was disappointed with the images shown of "Flinty's" farm filmed during the wettest spring "for probably a generation, if not two".
New Zealand dairy farmers have got so much to be proud of in the way that we produce milk...we produce low cost, high quality nutrition to the world".
Wilson agrees with critics who say that the show was unbalanced and certainly does not represent the great work that farmers are doing around the country.
