It's National Lamb Day on May 24th and one farming couple has come up with an innovative idea to celebrate the occasion - and perhaps bridge the urban/rural divide at the same time.
Wairarapa farmer Lynley Wyeth spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay about the concept she and her husband
Matt created - 'Invite a Townie to Dinner.'
The Wyeths are part of the Platinum Primary Producers Group who Lynley describes as "a bunch of people always encouraging us to reach out, to reach further, to do more in our community and in our industry."
Husband Matt was inspired by a PPP conference in March and as his "mind is always ticking," he was hoping to spread a positive farming message to urban folk by encouraging farmers to invite them to dinner.
