The Ministry for Primary Industries has announced it will expand its surveillance of Mycoplasma bovis to a nationwide programme.

Head of Fonterra Farm Source in the Bay of Plenty Lisa Payne spoke to The Country Early Edition's Rowena Duncum about how the dairy co-operative is involved in the process.

Fonterra is working with MPI to expand milk testing from the South Island to the rest New Zealand and plans to roll it out in February to get a "really good picture" of the regions says Lisa.
