Today's "good buggers" are Charmaine and Shayne O'Shea. This brother/sister duo are doing good things for the economy but, more importantly, doing the right thing by the environment.

The O'Sheas are well qualified to talk about the environment, they won the 2013 Northland Ballance Farm Environment Awards and Charmaine was Dairy Woman of the Year in 2014.

Dairy farmer Shayne says the focus of his farm is on sustainability and he has an upgraded effluent system, enhanced wetlands and riparian planting to name a few innovations to help keep the area environmentally sound.

Charmaine is an accountant but spends a lot of time on farm. She talks about how to balance spending money to improve the environment, with making a profit.
