Warm weather has been creating dry conditions for New Zealand and Marlborough is no different says Doug Avery.
The Resilient Farmer spoke to Jamie Mackay saying the weather was just another challenge that "rural folk just have to face up to and make the decisions and get on with it."
Doug says he has spent his life building resilience and when facing adversity people need to remember that "looking after your emotional state is one of the most important things."
Avery encourages rural folk to keep an eye on their loved ones and neighbours and suggests taking time out to enjoy something special can help to alleviate pressure brought on from daily life.
"Keep looking up. Don't look down. Keep addressing the problem and if you need help get in touch with the Rural Support Trust."
