The dairy sector is committed to working with whatever government New Zealand eventually ends up with says DairyNZ Chief Executive Dr Tim Mackle.
Rural issues featured heavily in pre-election debate this year with water quality a key focus for both urban and agricultural sectors.
Dr Mackle told The Country's Dom
George that the dairy industry has been committed to cleaning up waterways for years and will work with the government to continue the progress already made.
The dairy workforce is another important focus for the industry but Dr Mackle admits it has taken a back seat while the election build-up was taking place. He hopes that the future government will address issues for migrant workers.
