Ladies and Gentlemen it's ASB's rural economist Nathan Penny. Normally on The Country Penny is referred to as "Pollyanna" due to his never-endingly chipper attitude towards the GDT auction and forecast payout. However with recent results trending upwards...should Nathan's new nickname be 'The Oracle'?

Penny is still confident despite Jamie pegging him as 'mad' and last year's false dawn before the pre-Christmas slump. Whether you agree with him or not you have to admire Nathan Penny's positivity.

Jamie Mackay also quizzes Nathan on whether he's as positive about the lamb industry, especially after sheep and beef stalwarts such as Sir Brian Lochore are losing their optimism.
