Inquiry into alleged run-off into Kawarau River

The Otago Regional Council is investigating an alleged run-off of sediment from the Hanley's Farm subdivision into the Kawarau River.

Council environmental services manager Martin King said the council was told about the alleged incident on Friday.

Its investigation would take a few weeks, he said.

Hanley's Farm is a 1750-section residential development next to Jack's Point golf course and neighbourhood, near Queenstown.
