The dream run continued for anyone with cattle to sell, with strong competition keeping prices up at yesterday's Stortford Lodge store sale.

A bigger than usual yarding of more than 1000 head of mostly outstanding quality sold to buyers from Hawke's Bay, Wairarapa, Gisborne, Manawatu and Waikato.

The best of a yarding of about 5000 sheep sold up to recent high prices but smaller lambs were back by up to $8. Good Cricklewood Station ewes with terminal lambs at foot made up to $88.50.
