Hawke’s Bay: One person dead in crash at rural workplace, Serious Crash Unit advised

One person is dead after a crash at a rural Hawke’s Bay workplace.

Police were called about 2.15pm on Tuesday to Waihau Rd, Patoka, after reports one person had been injured.

Hato Hone St John were called to the incident and responded with a helicopter.

Police later said one person had been confirmed dead.

“Despite best efforts by emergency services, the person died at the scene,” a spokesperson said.

“Worksafe will be advised and enquiries into the death are ongoing.”

The Serious Crash Unit has been advised.
