A forestry worker has been killed by a falling tree in Manawatu.
A helicopter responded to the incident but the man died at the scene, police said.
The fatal incident happened in Ridge Road, Pohangina about 10.20am.
WorkSafe is investigating and the death will be referred to the coroner.
