KEY POINTS:

Fonterra has recalled another product made from contaminated milk in China which was found in infant formula that killed two babies and poisoned more than 1200.

On Monday, Chinese police arrested two brothers suspected of adding the industrial chemical melamine to milk they sold to the Sanlu Group
which produced the formula.

Fonterra, which owns 43 per cent of Sanlu, last night announced a recall of a batch of prenatal milk, drunk by women while pregnant, which is sold in China under the ANMUM Materna brand name. It had been manufactured and distributed by Sanlu.

A spokesman for Fonterra last night told the Herald there were no reported deaths or illnesses from the prenatal milk but they wanted to be safe.
