Flooding effects visible from space

A remarkable image of New Zealand's South Island taken by Cawthorn org, shows the effects of the Taieri Plain flooding from space.

Brown sediment run-off in the ocean is visible along the coastline.

It was caused by slips and flooding during the heavy rainfall in the region.
