Bay of Plenty regional winners for 2017 New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards will be announced on March 13.

Bay of Plenty finalists for the 2017 New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards regional finalists have been announced.

The winners will be announced at a function on March 13, and the Bay of Plenty winners will head to SkyCity in Auckland for the national awards on Saturday, May 6.

Awards general manager Chris Keeping said judges had been extremely impressed with the quality of entrants.

"There is a vibrant and positive feel about the dairy industry in New Zealand at the moment, and the high standard of entrants that we are seeing reflects that attitude," he said.

Bay of Plenty dairy trainee of the year finalists are Nick Body, Joe Braybrook, Hayden Goodall, Cameron Law, Mason Moij and Lindsay Williams.

Bay of Plenty dairy manager of the year finalists are Jamie Croad, Jessica Judd, Hayden and Linda McCartie, Andre Meier and Bridie Virbickas.

Bay of Plenty share farmer of the year entrants are Cameron and Marg Bierre, Casey Brown and Fran Walker, Josh and Shaz Cozens and Andrew Strawbridge.
