The 2017 New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards are in full swing, with judging under way and the first regional finalists, including Northland's, announced.
A total of 424 entries were received for the titles of Share Farmer, Dairy Manager and Dairy Trainee of the Year, with the winners to be announcedat regional awards dinners (March 17 for Northland - go to www.dairyindustryawards.co.nz) for tickets.
The regional winners will progress to the national finals, the winners there being announced at Sky City on May 6.
The Northland finalists are:
Dairy trainee - Blake Anderson, Henry McLeod, Erin Mitchell, Sarah Powell and Nicholas Thomas.
