A trailer and cheese rolls were among the items stolen throughout Otago at the weekend.

Sergeant Trevor Thomson, of Dunedin, said a Swanndri, gumboots, 72 cheese rolls and "a large quantity'' of home-kill meat was stolen from a car port in Lawrence overnight on Saturday.

Several items were stolen in Dunedin overnight on Saturday.

Two jackets, two pairs of shoes, cosmetics and a passport were stolen from a locked vehicle in Moray Pl in central Dunedin.

A purse was stolen from a vehicle in North Rd, Northeast Valley.

Sunglasses were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in Jubilee St, Belleknowes.

Tools and $20 of coins were stolen from a vehicle in Elgin Rd, Mornington.

Other property stolen recently in Otago included army boots from a garden shed in Great King St, Dunedin, last week.

A single-axle trailer was stolen from a property in Helensburgh Rd in Dunedin between Thursday and Sunday.

A generator was stolen from a garage in Beach St, Waikouaiti, between April 12 and yesterday.
