Man and dog will be heading indoors again this year for the second annual Southern Indoor Charity Dog Trial, which has been expanded to be held across three days.
This year's event will be held in the CowHouse Construction Agri Centre on August 8-10. Last year's event was a great success, with $7000 being raised for the new St John building in Gore.
What was thought to be the first indoor dog trial in the South Island was a huge success, with about 200 entries received.
Southern Field Days secretary Sharon Paterson said the demand from competitors was the reason for extending the event from two days to three days.
St John was again the charity of choice for this year's event, with proceeds being donated to the organisation.
''It's great public viewing - come and watch the dog trials'' Mrs Paterson said.
Entry forms were available now for this year's competition, and were available by getting in touch with Mrs Paterson via the group's Facebook page, Southern Indoor Charity Dog Trial, or by emailing her at sharonp@farmside.co.nz.
