Barry Soper is here with his weekly political wrap for The Country. He caught up with Dom George to examine the week's events.

Today's topics include Joe Biden's visit and US warships on our shores. This has restored our relationship with America but has it set us back thirty years?

Soper also discusses the Vice-President's gaffe he made when he arrived in New Zealand which caused offence and highlights the need to get your facts straight.

Helen Clark is vying for the top job at the UN. Soper reckons she won't be happy with her results so far.

Finally Dom and Barry catch up and have a chuckle over Donald Trump and the Republican convention in Cleveland.
