Another good yarding of two-year cattle sold well this week in spite of the continuing big wet. Two-year-old Hereford bulls 605 kg made $2350 ($3.88), Friesian bulls 460 kg made $1270 ($2.76) and cross breed bulls 365 kg made $875 ($2.40). Two-year-old white face heifers 311 kg - 380 kg made up to $1070 ($2.64 - $3.26), Friesian heifers 340 kg made $820 ($2.41) and cross breed heifers 370 kg made $980 ($2.65).

Fifteen-month-old white face steers 290 kg - 317 kg made up to $1045 ($2.04 - $2.65) and Friesian steers 310 kg made $710 ($2.29). Fifteen-month-old white face heifers 270 kg - 397 kg made up to $1045 ($2.03 - $2.63) and Friesian heifers 335 kg - 370 kg made up to $855 ($2.31 - $2.40).

Yearling Galloway cross steers 285 kg made $725 ($2.54), Friesian steers 247 kg made $840 ($3.40), cross breed steers 234 kg made $570 ($2.43) and Jersey steers 280 kg made $400 ($1.42). Yearling white face steers 277 kg made $900 ($3.24).

Yearling white face bulls 320 kg made $775 ($2.42) and Jersey bulls 208 kg - 266 kg made up to $700 ($2.30 - $2.64).

Yearling white face heifers 184 kg - 314 kg made up to $1000 ($2.32 - $3.64), Galloway cross heifers 260 kg - 300 kg made up to $780 ($2.33 - $2.69) and Angus cross heifers 302 kg made $875 ($2.89). Friesian heifers 190 kg made $510 ($2.68) and cross breed heifers 190 kg - 260 kg made up to $570 ($2.19 - $2.68).

Autumn white face heifers 202 kg made $705 ($3.48) and Friesian heifers 117 kg made $400 ($3.42).

Weaner Friesian bulls 185 kg made $560 ($3.02), cross breed bulls 128 kg - 170 kg made up to $460 ($2.59) and Jersey bulls 100 kg made $220 ($2.20). Weaner Friesian heifers 155 kg made $395 ($2.55). In-calf Friesian cows made $1090, in calf Jersey cows made $660 - $900 and in milk Friesian heifers made $1180.

Friesian boner cows 385 kg - 650 kg made up to $1100 ($1.51 - $1.69) and cross breed boners 360 kg - 525 kg made up to $800 ($1.52).

Porkers made $90.

Ewes with lambs $78, dry ewes $61. Mixed sex lambs $91 - $123.

Top Friesian bull calves made $290 and smaller calves made $40 - $60. White face bull calves made $90 - $180 and Charolais cross calves made $255. White face heifer calves made $40 - $190.

The sun on Tuesday brought out many buyers. Stock sold very well on outside markets.
Calves - F/H bulls $90 - $170, F/H heifers $80 - $160. Sheep - A good line of ewes and lambs $80 - $94, fat lambs $100 - $140, fat ewes $100 - $110. Store cattle - yearling bulls $550 - $670, yearling heifers $700 - $870, weaner heifers $480, weaner steers $600.
