Levin Sale was again strong in all classes of stock.

Calves - small x breeds + white faces $90 - $190. Sheep - fat ewes $80 - $150, fat lambs $90 - $133, store lambs $70 - $85. Cattle - 15 month heifers $1025, wnr steers $600 - $630, wnr F/H heifers $550 - $600, smaller types $450 - $500.

Still a big demand for all classes of stock. Rongotea The number of feeder calves increased at Rongotea this week as autumn calving gets into full swing.

2 year beef steers 575 kg made $1590 ($2.77).

2 year Hereford bulls 475 kg - 485 kg made up to $1520 ($2.65 - $3.13), white face bulls 332 kg made $900 ($2.71), Friesian bulls 380 kg made $1010 ($2.66) and Jersey bulls 545 kg made $1440 ($2.64).

2 year white face heifers 255 kg - 436 kg made up to $1230 ($2.19 - $2.82), Angus cross heifers 377 kg made $1000 ($2.65), Friesian heifers 342 kg made $780 ($2.29) and cross breed heifers 230 kg made $490 ($2.13).

18 month Friesian steers 382 kg made $790 ($2.07) and cross breed steers 419 kg made $1030 ($2.46).

18 month white face heifers 347 kg - 376 kg made up to $940 ($2.35 - $2.50) and beef heifers 302 kg made $670 ($2.21).

Weaner Angus cross steers 190 kg made $540 ($2.84) and Friesian steers 190 kg made $380 ($2.00).

Weaner Friesian bulls 136 kg made $560 ($4.15), white face bulls 205 kg made $565 ($2.76), beef cross bulls 130 kg - 220 kg made up to $675 ($2.68 - $3.14) and cross breed bulls 110 kg - 197 kg made up to $515 ($2.54 - $2.61).

Weaner white face heifers 141 kg - 175 kg made up to $620 ($2.73 - $4.41), Galloway cross heifers 157 kg - 220 kg made up to $680 ($3.09 - $3.43), Friesian heifers 104 kg made $300 ($2.87) and cross breed heifers 165 kg made $400 ($2.42).

In calf Friesian heifers made $870.

Friesian boners 411 kg - 501 kg made up to $820 ($1.56 - $1.67), cross breed boners 381 kg - 469 kg made up to $775 ($1.59 - $1.69) and Jersey boners 232 kg - 552 kg made up to $790 ($1.43 - $1.89). White face boners 532 kg made $1010 ($1.90).

Mixed sex lambs made $86 - $87.

Big Friesian bull calves made $285 - $335 and smaller calves made $150 - $280. Big white face bull calves made $150 - $250 and smaller calves made $80 - $145. Speckle Park bull calves made $205. White face heifer calves made $100 - $195, Speckle Park heifer calves $185.
