Rongotea Sale Report from NZ Farmers Livestock Ltd.

The sale was again dominated by returning service bulls with solid prices across all breeds reported Darryl Harwood of NZ Farmers Livestock.

2 year cross bred steers 390 kg made $850 and 2 year cross bred heifers 322 kg - 495 kg traded from $2.57/kg - $2.70/kg.

2 year Hereford bulls 628 kg - 775 kg traded from $2.82/kg - $2.90/kg and Angus bulls 815 kg made $2340. Jersey bulls 483 kg - 567 kg realised $2.38/kg - $2.48/kg,

Yearling Friesian bulls 440 kg made $1150, Angus yearling bulls 502 kg made $1500, Murray Grey bulls 370 kg made $960 and Jersey bulls 363 kg - 372 kg realised $2.50/kg - $2.57/kg.

Yearling Angus cross heifers 208 kg made $640, Friesian- Hereford cross heifers 251 kg made $720 and cross bred heifers traded from $1.84/kg - $1.92/kg.

Weaner Angus cross steers 175 kg made $600. Weaner Friesian bulls 95 kg - 145 kg made $400 - $560, Friesian- Hereford cross bulls 152 kg made $490, Angus cross bulls 105 kg made $440 and Charolais cross bulls 96 kg made $525.

Weaner Friesian- Hereford cross heifers 100 kg - 190 kg made $410 - $600, Angus cross heifers 116kg - 142kg made $455 - $520 and Charolais cross heifers 97 kg made $490.
