Prices remained buoyant across all lines, with the first of the spring feeder calves arriving at Rongotea today reported Darryl Harwood of NZ Farmers Livestock.

2 year Friesian - Hereford cross steers 415 kg - 547 kg made $2.67/kg - $2.70/kg, Angus cross steers 430 kg made $1140 and Friesian steers 430 kg made $1030.

2 year Friesian - Hereford cross heifers 330 kg - 502 kg made $2.53/kg - $2.71/kg and Angus cross heifers 386 kg - 394 kg made $2.29/kg - $2.41/kg.

18 month Friesian - Hereford cross steers 355 kg made $940.

Yearling Friesian steers 203 kg - 225 kg made $1.77/kg - $2.22/kg, Charolais cross steers 275 kg made $745 and Angus cross steers 175 kg made $520.

Yearling Friesian bulls 231 kg made $590 and Angus cross bulls 235 kg made $625.

Yearling Friesian - Hereford cross heifers 212 kg made $590, brindle heifers 246 kg made $695 and cross bred heifers 192 kg made $410.

Weaner Friesian - Hereford cross steers 141 kg made $500 and Angus cross steers 122 kg - 130 kg made $440 - $650.

Weaner Friesian - Hereford cross bulls 120 kg made $400. Weaner Friesian - Hereford cross heifers 139 kg - 175 kg made $400 - $560 and Angus cross heifers 152 kg made $440.

In calf cross bred cows made $715 - $755 and in calf Jersey cows made $500 - $600. In calf cross bred heifers made $830 - $850 and in calf Jersey heifers made $660 - $800.

Friesian boner cows 566 kg made $1.94/kg.

In the calf pens, Friesian bull calves made $185 - $255, Friesian - Hereford cross bull calves made $150 - $300 and Angus cross bull calves made $230. Friesian - Hereford cross heifer calves made $245 - $305, Angus cross heifer calves made $270 and Speckle Park heifer calves made $300.
