Despite poor weather there pens of sheep and calves sold, indicating the start of the calf season.

Calves - Friesian bull calves $150-$230, W/F/H bull calves $160-$260, Angus cross bull calves $250, Angus cross heifers $205, ready to wean W/H heifers $385. Sheep - scanned in lamb ewes $91, store lambs $55-$88. Friday 14 Feilding sale was small due to the weather.

The sale at Rongoteahad a full rostrum and more cattle for sale.

Three-year-old face heifers 505 kg made $1290 ($2.55).

Two-year-old white face steers 357 kg - 486 kg made up to $1410 ($2.90 - $2.94).
Two-year-old white face bulls 445 kg - 555 kg made up to $1450 ($2.61 - $2.88) and Friesian bulls 475 kg made $1160 ($2.44).

Two-year-old Angus cross heifers 467 kg made $1190 ($2.55), Friesian heifers 410 kg made $870 ($2.12) and cross breed heifers 258 kg - 275 kg made up to $670 ($2.40- $2.60).

Yearling white face steers 107 kg - 209 kg made up to $740 ($3.01 - $4.15), Belted Galloway heifers 200 kg made $675 ($3.37) and cross breed steers 150 kg - 199 kg made up to $600 ($3.02 - $3.37).

Yearling Friesian bulls 120 kg - 215 kg made up to $650 ($2.75 - $3.02) and white face bulls 225 kg - 335 kg made up to $910 ($2.56 - $3.61). Cross breed bulls 150 kg - 207 kg made up to $690 ($2.05 - $3.32) and Jersey bulls 140 kg - 182 kg made up to $480 ($2.17 - $2.68).

Yearling white face heifers 122 kg - 235 kg made up to $670 ($2.60 - $4.10), Belted Galloway heifers 180 kg made $500 ($2.78), Friesian heifers 201 kg made $580 ($2.89) and cross breed heifers 160 kg made $385 ($2.41).

Autumn born weaner Friesian bulls 137 kg made $660 ($4.81).

Weaner Friesian heifers 108 kg made $370 ($3.42).

Friesian cows with calf made $760 - $1140, cross breed cows with calf made $1060 and Jersey cows with calf made $810. Cross breed boner cows 500 kg made $850 ($1.70) and Jersey boners 310 kg made $460 ($1.48).

Porkers made $82 and weaner pigs made $60 - $80.

Mixed sex lambs $45 - $88.

Big Friesian bull calves $220 - $280 and smaller calves $130 - $180. Big white face bull calves $350-$415, smaller calves $150-$250. Cross breed bull calves $80-$120. Big white face heifer calves $300-$350, and smaller calves $120-$260.
Recorded cross breed heifer calves $100.
