Dairy cows, both in calf and boner took up most of the pens at Rongotea today with very few store cattle on offer reported Darryl Harwood of NZ Farmers Livestock.

2 year Friesian-Hereford cross steers 337kg-434kg made $2.33/kg-$2.58/kg and Angus steers made $2.60/kg.

Yearling beef heifers 251kg made $450 and cross bred heifers 297kg made $580.
Weaner Friesian-Hereford cross steers 215kg-255kg made $610-$660.

Weaner Friesian bulls 200kg-214kg made $570-$610 and Angus cross bulls 207kg made $460.

In calf Jersey cows made $600-$710.

Friesian boner cows 535kg made $1.64/kg, cross bred boners 380kg-474kg made $1.48/kg-$1.84/kg.

Jersey boners 317kg-464kg made $1.22/kg-$1.66/kg.

Friesian-Hereford cross boner cows 542kg made $2.08/kg and Angus boners 610kg made $2.05/kg.
