Levin Sale not the numbers of last week but still stock on hand sold well.

Fat ewes $120-$140, light ewes $90-$120, rams $40-$70, fat lambs $110-$140, store lambs $85-$105. Cattle — mainly wnr heifers. Heavy wnr heifers $570-$670, smaller $300-$570, wnr steers f/h $450-$520. Further inquiries ring David Haworth 027 450 4133, Dan Warner 027 826 5768.

Some rain over the weekend failed to bring out store cattle in any numbers with most farms still holding reasonable levels of cattle feed and vendors holding tight reported Darryl Harwood of NZ Farmers Livestock.

2 year Hereford bulls 735kg made $2010. 2 year Friesian heifers 415kg made $870 and cross bred heifers 455kg made $985.

18 month Friesian-Hereford steers 385kg made $1040.

18 month Friesian-Hereford heifers 337kg made $710.

Yearling Friesian-Hereford bulls 300kg made $600 and Angus cross bulls 420kg made $1090.

Weaner Friesian-Hereford steers 125kg-177kg made $530-$550, Belgian Blue cross steers 142kg made $460 and Friesian steers 157kg made $450.

Weaner Friesian bulls 173kg made $485, Simmental cross bulls 179kg made $500 and cross bred bulls 235kg made $500.

Weaner Friesian-Hereford heifers 100kg-144kg made $390-$570, Angus cross heifers 200kg made $505 and Belgian Blue cross heifers 134kg made $550.

Friesian boner cows 388kg-533kg made $1.26/kg-$1.46/kg.

Friesian cross boners 475kg-542kg made $1.34/kg-$1.49/kg and Jersey cross boners 377kg-480kg made $1.23/kg-$1.32/kg.

In the calf pens the first of the autumn born Friesian bull calves made $170-$210.
