Jamie Mackay interviews the Prime Minister on topics including tonight's first leaders' debate, an election lolly scramble, life as a house husband and the funeral of Sir Colin Meads.

Bill English is grilled on questions like why didn't stand up for the Ruataniwha Dam and what will he be wearing when he faces off against Jacinda Ardern at tonight's debate.

He tells Mackay how he's going to beat the Labour leader amidst the fervour of Jacindamania.
