This edition of "Top of the Hops" takes The Country Early Edition's Dom George to the deep South to chat to Amanda Nally from Invercargill Brewery.
Invercargill Brewery started in 1999 in Coms Manager Amanda's husband Steve's garage. Small business and brewing is tough says Nally and it's a case of "never giving up" in order to succeed.
Nally also has a function space called Asylum, where they showcase live original music, comedy and art works to support local artists. So far it has been "tremendous fun" and the brewery is now in the process of making Asylum a permanent space.
Dom and Amanda talk about the brewing market in New Zealand and how long-standing companies like Invercargill Brewery can still make their mark in an increasingly competitive environment.
