Regulars to The Country David Broome and Don Nicolson caught up with Jamie Mackay today to chew the fat over rural issues.
First up the panel tackle the Ruataniwha Dam Project and whether it's going to "fall over". Broome predicts there will be a drought "in the next two to three years" and people will be asking why farmers didn't store water... Don Nicolson says the politics of the Ruataniwha Dam have become "muddied" and "biased".
Jamie asks David Broome if he thinks the dairy industry can win the PR spin battle and Don Nicolson if agri-tourism is the way forward for farming in New Zealand.
Finally Nicolson gives a shout out to 2017 Dairy Woman of the Year, Jessie Chan-Dorman.
