Weather for the Glanworth Angus sale on June 28 was perfect after several weeks of wet conditions.

A complete clearance of 31 bulls averaged $8000.

Buyers came from as far south as Christchurch and as far north as Northland. Top price was $16,500 for Lot 4 to a long standing local commercial farmer.

Other top prices were $16,000 for Lot 23, $14,000 for Lot 3, and $13,000 for Lot 22. Most bulls went to long standing clients.

There were three new buyers who purchased bulls. Shaun and Fiona and Joe and Lea Fouhy were very pleased with the result of Glanworth's first on farm auction.

"Auctioneer Bjorn Anderson did a good job and the sale exceeded our expectations. We will be having an auction of yearling bulls on farm on October 4," said Joe Fouhy.
