Herd of dairy cows Supplied to the NZ Herald by Dairy NZ

Dairy farmers attending upcoming DairyNZ People Expo events will get advice on team culture from the best in the business – rugby coaches and managers.

Among the line-up of speakers is All Blacks assistant coach Ian Foster, Canterbury Crusaders personal development manager Virginia Le Bas, Team New Zealand cyclor Joseph Sullivan, human resource specialist Tani Hansen and Fonterra manager of social responsibility Matt Trent. Farmers will also hear from fellow dairy farmer Stuart Taylor on how he changed his team culture.

DairyNZ people team leader Jane Muir spoke to The Country Early Edition's Rowena Duncum about why the reasoning behind People Expo events.

"We're really passionate about helping farmers to build successful farm teams, be excellent employers and attract and attain great people."

The DairyNZ People Expo events are getting under way now in Dunsandel (March 22), Waikato (April 10), Stratford (April 11), Rotorua (May 1) and Invercargill (May 9).
