Ellen Bartlett runs a large-scale dairy farm with her husband George in the Manawatu, milking 1500 cows.

Bartlett recently completed Rabobank's Executive Development Program and spoke to The Country's Jamie Mackay about her experience.

"I can't speak highly enough about the programme" says Bartlett who says it taught her to notice and understand the opportunities that are out there.

The Executive Development Program has improved her business with modules focusing on areas such as strategy implementation, human resources management and risk management says Bartlett.

"Those things give you the opportunity to learn more."

Even though she finished the course four years ago, Bartlett keeps in contact with other farmers she met during the programme and encourages others to take part as well.
