Fonterra farmers are not only busy with calving season but are also filling out their sustainable dairying records.

Fonterra's Head of Farm Source for Taranaki Scott Walls caught up with The Country Early Edition's Rowena Duncum to remind farmers to fill in their forms by the end of July.

Walls says it's important for farmers to fill in the sustainable dairying records as it "supports our Trusted Goodness programme which allows us to deliver more value back to the co-op this year."

A live online session last week gave Fonterra the chance to answer questions about water and the environment from its farmers as well as the public.

Walls says the session went well and it was a good chance to connect with people about environmental issues such as plastic containers, clean rivers and farming in the Mackenzie Basin.
